Hailey Bieber looks like a billion dollars in a little black dress

Hailey Bieber had a lot to celebrate last night after signing a billion-dollar deal for her signature beauty brand, Rhode. When you’ve just made a business statement big enough to make the front page of CNBC, Forbes, and the Wall Street Journal, all that matters is a classic little black dress and a face of brand makeup.

Bieber celebrated the happy news with friends and business partners at Alba Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. His Saint Laurent dress? Fit for a modern Gen Z CEO. The strapless piece featured a scooped neckline that led to a fitted skirt. Stiletto heels, nude lipstick and blush-tinted cheeks (thanks to Rhode, of course), and a silver watch completed the look. But it was Bieber’s aura and the stunning details of his brand’s sale that made all the difference.

Hours earlier, Bieber announced the acquisition of Rhode by industry leader Elf Beauty for up to $1 billion. The sale comes three years after Bieber launched the line in 2022 and follows a string of recent successes. In its last fiscal year, which ended in March 2025, Rhode generated $212 million in revenue with just ten products. The brand, which previously operated as a direct-to-consumer, also announced plans to expand into Sephora stores in the US, Canada, and the UK by the end of 2025.

“When I launched Rhode in 2022, I always had big dreams for the company, and the most important thing for me is to continue bringing Rhode to more spaces, places, and faces around the world,” Bieber wrote on Instagram yesterday. “So today, I’m incredibly happy and proud to announce our partnership with elf Beauty and begin this new chapter in the Rhode story.” She concluded her post by saying, “This is just the beginning.”

This deal, which was elf’s largest acquisition to date, was undoubtedly a major win for the beauty mogul. And last night’s little black dress really showed it off.
