My journey to becoming a mindset coach was deeply personal and pr

ofoundly transformative. It began during a pivotal period in my life when I faced significant challenges, both personally and professionally. I realized that my mindset, the way I perceived and reacted to those challenges, was a crucial determinant of my success and well-being.
One key moment that ignited my passion for mindset coaching occurred after I experienced a deep personal setback. I was at a crossroads, overwhelmed by self-doubt and uncertainty. It was during this time that I had reached the lowest in my life. I only had the strength to hold onto God’s unchanging hand for dear life. This experience was nothing short of a revelation; it opened my eyes to the incredible potential we all have when we shift our mindset. My journey was shaped by my desire to support others in overcoming their struggles. I began volunteering in communities that lacked resources and support systems, engaging with individuals who were often trapped in limiting beliefs. Witnessing their transformation as they embraced a growth mindset instilled in me the belief that change is always possible, regardless of circumstances.

2. As an author of 19 books, what drives your passion for writing, and how do you stay motivated through the creative process? Describe your process of coming up with ideas and keeping them fresh.

My passion for writing stems from a deep desire to share stories that inspire and empower others. Writing allows me to articulate my thoughts and experiences in a way that resonates with people. To stay motivated, I set aside dedicated time for writing and immerse myself in various content, including books, podcasts, and conversations with inspiring individuals. My idea generation often comes from life experiences, current events, or conversations, and I regularly journal to keep my thoughts organized and fresh.

3. Your work focuses on mindset transformation. What do you believe are the most common mental barriers people face today, and how can they overcome them? Talk about a few examples of strategies you use to help others.

The most common mental barriers I see today are self-doubt, fear of failure, and a self-limiting mindset. To overcome these, I encourage clients to embrace a growth mindset. Some effective strategies include visualization techniques, positive affirmations, and reframing negative thoughts. I host annual vision boarding workshops and produce films, stage plays and books that offer positive affirmations, hope for the future and inspiration to women of all ages. My current Podcast, Ageless, Fearless and Unscripted is where we have conversations about the courage to pursue one’s purpose at any age, proving that your dreams don’t have an expiration date.

Preparing for speaking engagements is both an art and a science for me. I start by digging deep into the audience’s needs, understanding their struggles and aspirations. Personal connection is key, so I often share my own stories of overcoming challenges, which helps create an authentic atmosphere. One of the most memorable talks I have ever given was focused on overcoming past trauma, particularly the themes of illness, disappointment from loved ones, and self-limiting beliefs. The room was filled with incredible women, each carrying their own burdens, yet there was an undeniable sense of camaraderie among us. A significant moment during this speech stands out vividly in my memory. As I shared a particularly vulnerable story about my own experiences with trauma, I witnessed a wave of emotion sweep through the audience. Tears began to flow, not just from pain, but from a place of liberation and understanding. I could see that many women were connecting their own narratives to what I was sharing, releasing years of self-doubt and hurt. The atmosphere shifted as they began to embrace their vulnerability, realizing that they were not alone in their struggles. It was a powerful reminder of the healing power of community and shared experiences. I often think about how that moment illuminated the resilience of women and the strength they possess to rise from their past. Leaving the stage that day, I felt profoundly impacted by their courage. It reminded me why I do this work: to help others see their worth and potential. Witnessing that transformation is a privilege I cherish deeply.
