Until tonight’s Golden Globes ceremony, Selena Gomez and her new fiancé, Benny Blanco , had never posed together on a red carpet. That didn’t change at the ceremony. However, Blanco joined Gomez inside the awards show, where they had plenty of affectionate moments during the broadcast. They even kissed at one point.
Gomez is up for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her work in Emilia Pérez and Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for her role in Only Murders in the Building . Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco last month. In November, she told The Hollywood Reporter that she posts a lot of photos with him on Instagram for two reasons. One is comfort: As she put it, “I guess this is the safest time I’ve felt in a relationship, and I see a future with this person.”
And the second reason is to give them more privacy. “When you put it aside, people don’t want to stalk you,” she said. “If they hear something, they will, but if you say, ‘I did it,’ they’ll say, ‘Oh, well, there’s you, going to Sushi Park.’ But there’s so much in my relationship that people don’t see, it’s just mine.”
