A Royal Gala in New York: The King Charles III Foundation Shines at Cipriani South Street

New York once again proved it can combine glamour and social commitment. This Thursday evening, the iconic Cipriani South Street venue was transformed into a showcase of refinement and elegance for the Global Gala organized by The King’s Trust USA, the American branch of King Charles III’s philanthropic foundation. An evening that successfully combined the nobility of the cause with the beauty of the celebration.

Although Her Majesty was not physically present, her voice and message resonated powerfully throughout the event, recalling her unwavering commitment to youth, education, entrepreneurship, and a sustainable future. This commitment has endured for decades through the mission of The King’s Trust, formerly The Prince’s Trust, now recognized worldwide for its concrete actions helping young people in need.

Among the evening’s keynote speakers, Lionel Richie, music icon and Global Ambassador for the King’s Trust, moved the audience with a vibrant, humane speech. As co-chair of the Gala, he recalled his involvement with the foundation since the 1980s: “I simply want to make dreams come true and give back what I’ve received.” Joining him was the elegant Edward Enninful, a key fashion influencer and loyal friend of the cause.

British beauty icon Charlotte Tilbury, also deeply involved, lit up the evening alongside her “Charlotte’s Angels.” As an Ambassador for the Enterprise program, dedicated to young entrepreneurs, she passionately stated: “Giving back as an entrepreneur is essential. I’ve just renewed my commitment for three years!” A powerful testament to the importance of social impact in the business world.

Young influencer Meredith Duxbury, meanwhile, brought a floral, springtime touch to the event with a dress by Emilia Wickstead, highlighting the convergence of fashion and philanthropy in a resolutely royal setting.

The evening was a fusion of beauty, commitment, and solidarity, where royal heritage blended with the audacity of modernity. Influential figures, an international audience, and a universal cause: this New York gala proved that luxury and heart can go hand in hand.
