Daisy Edgar-Jones, who is currently directing a London revival of the 1958 film Cat on a Hot Tin Roof , is spending her downtime in style. After bringing a cool-girl twist to her Christmas outfit earlier this week, the actress was spotted out and about in the British capital today wearing a head-to-toe Gucci look from the Italian brand’s fall 2024 collection.
Edgar-Jones donned a black suit jacket that she cinched at the waist with a skinny Gucci belt. Her skinny blue jeans gave her look a casual look. The actress added a pop of red to her look with a cherry manicure and a burgundy Gucci bag that she carried across her shoulder. Edgar-Jones accessorized her look with black sunglasses and leather ballet flats adorned with Gucci’s iconic horsebit.

Following her successful promotion for Twisters earlier this year, which saw her rock everything from Vivienne Westwood couture to bohemian Chloé gowns, it looks like Edgar-Jones will be setting up shop in London for the next few months. In Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (which is playing at the Almeida Theatre until early February), Edgar-Jones plays Maggie Pollitt alongside Kingsley Ben-Adir as her husband Brick. Edgar-Jones’ role was created by Elizabeth Taylor in the late 1950s and has been played by the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Sienna Miller over the years.
“I love what I do, but I often play characters that are passive, vulnerable, and pensive, and Maggie is the complete antithesis of that,” Edgar-Jones told British Vogue . “She’s angry, she talks a lot – I talk for 55 minutes straight. So I really wanted the chance to blossom in that way.”
Edgar-Jones also revealed that she received advice from her Normal People co-star Paul Mescal, who recently starred in the theatre’s revival of A Streetcar Named Desire . “I saw that production and I was in awe,” she said, adding: “He said, ‘You’re going to have a blast. Just make sure you enjoy it.’ It’s easy to forget that sometimes.”
