After her surprise appearance in Yellowstone, Bella Hadid has left behind the horse trainers of Montana—and her cowgirl hat—for the streets of New York, forgoing the Western wear for an all-black look topped with another more nostalgic piece of headgear.
On Wednesday (December 11), the supermodel stepped out in a rainy Manhattan in an oversized black coat, halterneck top, leather trousers, and pointed black boots. On accessories: she went for an oversized black croc Saint Laurent Sac De Jour bag and belt, as well as some familiar looking Bayonetta frame glasses. And instead of the Stetsons she’s come to love, she wore a large black velvet scrunchie to tie up her slicked-back bun.
Since Hadid started dating Adan Banuelos, a successful rodeo star and equestrian, they’ve gone deep on a similarly country-western couple style—denim, leather chaps, cowboy hats. Yellowstone’s costume designer Johnetta Boone told Vogue about the very method dressing vibe that’s reflected in her character Sadie’s wardrobe, taking Bella’s penchant for denim and plaid into account. She wore a ribbed tank with a pair of HAALA jeans, the model’s own vintage boots, and a hat tipped with a Brim Biter by Hallett Peak.
Dressed by Molly Dickson, Hadid didn’t hold back on partying in New York City. She was last seen stepping out with Banuelos, dressed more for the rodeo than a family dinner at a private club. With looks ranging from urban cowgirl with a Y2K twist to full-throttle rodeo queen, we’ll just have to wait and see what Westerncore version of Winter in the City will bring us.
