Pamela Anderson, the discreet star of Paris Couture Week

Sometimes stars head to Paris Haute Couture Week with spectacle in mind. They want to create a buzz with slinky, figure-hugging designs, bejeweled and sequined, or looks that border on the theatrical. This year, however, a low-key celebrity made an appearance at the Paris haute couture shows. Her name? Pamela Anderson.

Anderson, fresh off her Golden Globe- and SAG Award-nominated role in The Last Showgirl , landed in the City of Lights with a clear plan. As usual, the actress favored unfussy, free-spirited silhouettes, a type of “French Girl” chic that favors lived-in chic over the overdone clichés that tourists find chic. Take the white bridal blouse and palazzo pants Anderson wore to Chanel’s spring 2025 couture show Tuesday morning.

The slightly sheer effect and ruffled details added interest to the design. But overall, it was a stark (and somewhat welcome) contrast to the show’s other guests, who were dressed in cropped tweed jackets, sheer feather capes, and bow-trimmed minis. The actress made it even cooler by topping off her look with a pair of movie-star sunglasses.

Much like her recent press tour, the actress stuck mostly to crisp, monochrome wool and silk fabrics during her time in France. Classic shapes were also plentiful. Anderson did her take on Dior’s New Look at the brand’s show on Monday, wearing an elegant coat wrapped with a matching scarf underneath. It referenced the house’s past (Anderson also wore a lace veil and Lady Dior bag in another ode to the house) but also fit the actress’ preference for pared-down silhouettes.

Paris Fashion Week is a special time for Anderson. She completely redefined her style in September 2023 when she attended The Row’s presentation wearing two layered jackets, leaving behind her Baywatch years for an aesthetic favored by fashion editors and devotees of “quiet luxury.”
